The National Institute of Open Schooling is an autonomous educational body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, established in 1989 to expand access to quality education through flexible learning pathways. Open Basic Education Programme (Coaching)
This programme supports foundational education through three structured levels:
Level A (equivalent to Class III) focuses on literacy and numeracy
Level B (equivalent to Class V) builds conceptual understanding
Level C (equivalent to Class VIII) prepares learners for higher studies
Secondary Education Programme
Equivalent to Class X, this programme equips students with essential academic knowledge for higher education or vocational pathways.
Senior Secondary Education Programme
